Under the patronage of Al Qasimia University in the Emirate of Sharjah, the College of Arts and Humanities has announced its annual poetry competition for the tenth consecutive year, the "Qasimia Poet" competition, which coincides with the Month of Reading (March) each year under the slogan: "The UAE Reads." Students of Al Qasimia University in the Emirate of Sharjah participate in this competition, which aims to nurture promising poetic talents among the university's youth. The competition's theme revolves around writing on any humanitarian or social topic in eloquent Arabic. The submitted works are reviewed by a specialized academic committee for judgment . The university offers generous cash prizes for the winners of the first three places and also awards certificates of appreciation for positions four through ten.
