The mosque was built in 1815 by the late Sultan bin Saeed Al Badwawi. It is one of the oldest mosques in the area and is relatively small in size. The mosque consists of a single covered prayer hall. Plaster and mud were used in its construction, while palm fronds were used for the roofing.
