المثل الشعبي «مب كلّ من ركب محمل قال أنا نوخذة» من الأمثال الإماراتية القديمة التي نشأت في بيئة البحر. و"المحمل" هو السفينة الخشبية المستخدمة في الغوص وصيد اللؤلؤ، و"النوخذة" هو ربان السفينة والمسؤول عنها. يُقال هذا المثل للدلالة على أن مجرد ركوب السفينة لا يجعل الشخص رباناً، فالمهارة والمعرفة والتجربة هي التي تميز القائد الحقيقي عن غيره. يحمل المثل معاني الحكمة والتواضع، ويرسخ قيمة الخبرة والعمل الجاد في المجتمع الإماراتي
