كِعلُو

كِعلو هو إناء تقليدي يُشبه الكَرْمَة في شكله واستخدامه، ويأتي على هيئة طاسة تُصنع من الخوص المسفوف أو من سفائف عذق الرطب باستخدام طرق يدوية متوارثة. وكان يُستخدم بشكل أساسي لوضع الحليب وحفظه بعد حلبه، كما استُعمل أحيانًا في تقديم بعض الأطعمة والمشروبات داخل البيوت القديمة.ويتميز الكِعلو بخفة وزنه وسهولة حمله، إضافة إلى بساطة تصميمه الذي يعكس طبيعة الحياة القديمة واعتماد الناس على الأدوات المصنوعة من البيئة المحلية. وتعتمد صناعة الكِعلو على مهارة الحرفيين في سفّ الخوص وترتيبه بطريقة متماسكة تمنح الإناء القدرة على التحمل والاستعمال اليومي. وقد اشتهرت هذه الصناعة في البيئة الريفية بسبب توافر أشجار النخيل وموادها الطبيعية التي دخلت في كثير من الصناعات التقليدية. ويُعدّ الكِعلو اليوم من الأدوات التراثية التي تعبّر عن الحرف التقليدية وأساليب المعيشة القديمة في الإمارات والمنطقة الخليجية

This element represents part of the social and cultural history of the community, enhancing its value as a distinctive component of local or national identity.

Continuity and Intergenerational Transmission: The element is passed from one generation to the next, either orally through stories, songs, and narratives, or practically through training and hands-on practice. This living process ensures the element’s survival and development over time, while maintaining its connection to its cultural roots.
