Overview
The Ministry of Culture has launched the ‘Issuing Creative Leave Recommendation’ service. A strategic initiative aimed at empowering creators in the cultural and artistic fields. The service enables eligible individuals to obtain formal leave from their workplaces to participate in local, regional, and international events and forums

Criteria
1. Impact of participation on the participant’s cultural and artistic journey
- How will your participation contribute to improving your artistic or cultural skills and support your professional growth? How will it help expand your professional network and increase your artistic recognition?
2. Quality and uniqueness of the creative contribution
- Explain the quality, originality and innovation of your creative idea. How will your participation offer a unique and distinguished experience? Please highlight the significance and reputation of the event as well.
3. Impact of participation on the national cultural landscape
- How will your participation contribute to presenting an honorable image of the UAE that reflects its cultural and artistic values and enhances its reputation in international forums?
4. Promoting Emirati culture:
- How will your participation help showcase and promote Emirati arts and heritage, and open new avenues for cultural exchange and dialogue between the UAE and other countries around the world
Service requirements
- A copy of the invitation to participate in the event or official proof of acceptance.
- A copy of the Emirati identity card.
- A personal photo.
Terms and conditions
- The applicant must be a citizen or resident of the UAE.
- The Ministry reserves the right to accept or reject the recommendation request at its discretion and in accordance with its approved procedures and regulations.
- The maximum duration of the creative leave shall not exceed 90 days.
- The applicant must certify the accuracy and truthfulness of the information provided.
- The event or activity must not conflict with the policies and values of the UAE.
- The applicant agrees to comply with all conditions of the recommendation and to use it solely for the purposes specified in the application.
- The applicant must submit a final report to the Ministry of Culture after the participation period, detailing the achievements and outcomes. (Failure to submit a report will result in ineligibility for future recommendation.)
