Capacity Development

A financial grant awarded to individual creators, aimed at supporting their professional development by enhancing their skills and advancing their careers. The grant covers the costs of short-term educational programs, such as certified courses, training workshops, mentorship opportunities, and participation in residencies and artistic programs. It also supports the development of creative practices across cultural and creative fields. The grant offers up to AED 50,000.

Applications submitted for the Capacity Development Grant are evaluated based on three main criteria. Applicants are required to provide supporting documents and materials that demonstrate their eligibility for the grant.

Evaluation Criteria:

  • Quality of learning opportunities
  • Impact on the applicant
  • Quality of the artistic portfolio

 

Grant Utilization:

The grant can cover fees for short-term professional programs, such as certified courses and professional diplomas, residencies and apprenticeships, as well as, seminars that will support the professional development of the creative.

Requirements

The learning opportunity is from a recognized and accredited academic institution or arts organization

The learning opportunity portrays academic excellence and quality and is unique to the UAE CCI sector academic opportunities

The learning opportunity will strongly contribute to the applicant’s development and help grow applicant’s career

Applicant’s background demonstrates an active contribution to the UAE cultural and creative industries scene

05

Applicant must have a strong portfolio/CV and successful track record that demonstrates artistic excellence

Applicant has received the required acceptance letters required to confirm participation

How to apply:

Applicants should provide a program overview, details of the institution/university and proof of acceptance into the program (mentorship, residency, internship, workshop, or seminar) along with program costs.

  3. Proof of costs of program
