The students discuss a book they have read and share their opinions about it. Each student expresses his view clearly, mentions the main ideas that impressed him, discusses the events of the story and its characters, and compares different points of view with respect and engagement.
A Character in a Book
The student chooses a character she admires from her favorite book or from a book she has read. She then delivers a short oral presentation introducing the character and explaining why she chose her. She may also wear a costume related to the character or something that represents her.

Read in a Different Location
Choose a new location in the school building to have extra reading time. Students could get comfy in the hallway, the library, or out on the playground. It will definitely add some excitement!
