The students discuss a book they have read and share their opinions about it. Each student expresses his view clearly, mentions the main ideas that impressed him, discusses the events of the story and its characters, and compares different points of view with respect and engagement.
The student chooses a character she admires from her favorite book or from a book she has read. She then delivers a short oral presentation introducing the character and explaining why she chose her. She may also wear a costume related to the character or something that represents her.
An exciting team trivia challenge in which middle school students test their knowledge of books, characters, and stories through fun, multiple-choice questions.
