Zaffah

During the zaffah, the bride wears decorated traditional clothing, often embellished with gold or talli, while the groom wears a bisht or formal Gulf thobe. Incense, perfumes and candles are used during the procession, and the venue is decorated with fabrics and lights. Mothers and grandmothers play a prominent role in the zaffah, singing traditional songs carrying messages of joy and prayers for happiness for the newlyweds.
