الصفّار

هو الحرفي المتخصص في تنظيف وتلميع أواني النحاس القديمة في الإمارات كانت تسمى ( صفر ) اي المصنوعة من النحاس. مهنته تُعرف بتصفير النحاس، أي إعادة لمعان الأواني بعد أن يبهت لونها مع الاستخدام. كان الناس يعتمدون على الصفار للحفاظ على أدوات المطبخ مثل الدلال والأواني والقدور، لأنها كانت أساسية في الحياة اليومية. الصفار يستخدم مواد بسيطة مثل مسحوق التنظيف الطبيعي أو بعض الأحماض الخفيفة، ثم يقوم بفرك الأواني وصقلها حتى تعود لامعة مثل الجديدة. باستخدام الليمون أو الليف أو سيفة البحر. هذه المهنة لم تكن فقط للحفاظ على جمال الأواني، بل كانت ضرورة عملية، لأن الأواني النحاسية جزء من الضيافة والمطبخ الإماراتي. مكانة الصفار كانت محترمة لأنه يقدم خدمة يحتاجها الجميع، خاصة في المناسبات الكبيرة مثل الأعراس أو رمضان. الصفار كان يعمل في الأسواق الشعبية ويجلس على الأرض أمام أدواته، النحاس في الحي. هذه المهنة تعكس جانبًا من الاقتصاد الشعبي البسيط القائم على تبادل الخدمات، وتبين كيف اهتم الإماراتيون بالحفاظ على أدواتهم. الصفار اليوم يمثل جزءًا من التراث الحرفي التقليدي في الإمارات.

This living process ensures the element’s survival and development over time, while maintaining its connection to its cultural roots.

Presence in Collective Memory and Intergenerational Cohesion: A cultural element is considered deeply rooted when it is held in the collective memory of the community and forms part of their daily experiences, occasions, and social relationships. It also contributes to strengthening the bonds of interaction between different generations, as it is transmitted from elders to younger members, providing a space for celebration and communal participation, thereby creating a sense of belonging and continuity.
