Finyal

The finyal is the small cup used to serve Arabic coffee and holds an important place in Emirati majlises as an essential part of inherited hospitality traditions. It is usually made from smooth porcelain or thin glass and is available in different sizes. Its design is simple and elegant and may feature light patterns or decoration inspired by traditional styles. The finyal is closely associated with the dallah and serving tray, which together form an integrated set for serving Arabic coffee according to recognized social customs and etiquette. It reflects an aspect of the authenticity of Emirati heritage and the careful details of traditional hospitality preserved across generations, with Arabic coffee remaining a symbol of social communication and closeness between people at different occasions and gatherings.
